If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following specific rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months, the categories of sources of that information, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.

Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we are required to retain for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or to complete a transaction you requested).

Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. See Section 9b, "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," immediately below for how we handle this and how to exercise this right.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Where applicable, you may direct us to limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide our comparison service.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect: Identifiers (name, email, IP address); commercial information (quote requests submitted); internet activity (pages visited, links clicked, geo-location derived from IP for country routing); and, where voluntarily provided, information relevant to an insurance quote request (such as vehicle details).

How to Exercise Your Rights: Submit a request via our Data Opt-Out & Rights Centre, or email privacy@autoinsurances.online. We will verify your identity before processing a request and will respond within 45 days, as required by the CCPA/CPRA (extendable by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you).

Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

9b. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the CCPA/CPRA, "selling" and "sharing" have broad legal definitions that can include certain forms of cross-context behavioral advertising and the use of tracking technologies (such as advertising cookies) by third parties, even where no money changes hands.

AutoInsurances.online does not sell personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for money. However, our use of affiliate tracking and, where applicable, analytics or advertising cookies may meet the CCPA/CPRA's broader definition of "sharing." You have the right to opt out of this.

How to opt out:

1. Use the cookie consent banner shown when you first visit our site, and select "Reject Non-Essential" or customise your choices and disable "Affiliate Tracking" and "Marketing Communications."
2. Toggle "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" directly in the consent banner (shown automatically to California visitors).
3. Submit a formal request via our Data Opt-Out & Rights Centre at any time, which we honour going forward.
4. We also recognise the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request where detected.

Opting out does not delete information already shared prior to your request, and does not affect essential functionality (such as country-based routing) required to operate our comparison service. It also does not affect information you separately and voluntarily provide directly to a third-party insurer after clicking through to their site — at that point, their own privacy policy applies, not ours.

10. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including HTTPS encryption and access controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance.
